Apples & Alpine

Yesterday I went with two friends, Sandie and Adam to Dixon Apple Farm. I have to admit I had no idea that we had an apple farm so close to ABQ! And after yesterday I think I'm hooked, there is no turning back to grocery store apples...

As we were walking around the farm I really wanted to pick on off a tree and eat it and seriously right as I said that I found this tree with apples!

This here apple is now in my belly...mmm. It was the most delicious apple I've ever had!

The rotten reject apples, but they looked cool.

But don't worry they really are rejects, bees like them!

After we went to the apple farm we drove to Tent Rocks, which is extremely close to the Dixon Apple Farm. I have been here a few years ago but never hiked to the top. I do have to say that the hike up is just as aweosme as the view at the top.

Sandie taking a picture of Adam "climbing"....At one point they asked me to climb up to one spot but after a few attempts I gave up, but that was probably a good idea considering there was a sign before the hike saying climbing is strictly "PROHIBITED" pah...signs, ruining all the fun all the time!

I love random adventure days. :)

Engaged!!! (albuquerque wedding photographer)

So about two weeks ago now, Josh purposed to me on our one year anniversary of dating. He took part of the day off of work and we went up to Santa Fe to see a photojournalism exhibit and to go to a popular restaurant called the Shed. Our evening ending with him reading from a prayer journal different entries throughout the time we were dating and him on one knee at sunset in the mountains, with a encore of dancing under the stars...it could have been a more beautiful, blessed day.

With all that said, I decided to experiment with my tripod and self-timer, so I took our engagement photos; which was an adventure and took a lot of patience...but after four different days with four different locations, I think we got some good ones in! I'm very thankful that Josh was so willing to go with this crazy idea...

This photo was Josh's idea, to look all "what-ever"...I think it turned out pretty legit.

This photo is a play on becoming "one flesh" ....Josh thinks I'm silly cause I think of photos like this. haha, but I like them, I'm a photographer, of course I learn by pictures, thus I think in pictures! :D

I still cannot stop thanking God for all the amazing things He has been doing through Josh and I and I'm beyond excited to see what God has in store for the rest of our lives.
