The Gaines Family (Albuquerque Family Photographer)

This past Sunday my mother-in-law had a seemingly great idea to take some photos in an antique store of the family before they moved. I have to admit the moment when I walked into the store I was concerned. The store was filled to the brim with stuff, mind you really cool neat antique things, but none the less filled. Not to mention the poor lighting from a photographers perspective and a few ceilings made of wood...meaning no reflecting flash to try to get some natural looking light. Phew.

But as with all things in my life when I feel like something is a complete disaster God intervenes and makes something beautiful. Another testimony that my photography is never something I claim as my own doing but God's gifting and blessings through me.

I do have to say that the store was really neat and would recommend it to any antique-goer. Here's a few photos from the store.

Gillen Family (Albuquerque Family Photographer)

Last weekend I photographed my family! It was pretty fun, but we only could do a few with my dad's hurt knee...but I'm glad with how the came out! To take Josh and I's photos I gave my sister my camera and gave a 1 minute crash course on DSLRs ...haha..they turned out pretty decent. :) I'll give her a B+.



I was soo glad we got Brant (my sister's boyfriend) to smile...He isn't a fan of pictures at all.


My parents thought I was crazy when I was telling them how to pose...but they'll be glad for my suggestions!

So silly..I love my sister's eyes in this picture. She has SUCH beautiful eyes!

The Birrell Family (Albuquerque Family Photographer)

The Birrell's are such an adorable family! All red-headed and freckled, their little one, Ava, is a cutie! Unfortunately, she was a little cranky during our shoot but we still managed to get a few smiles out of her.





During the shoot I asked Kelly what games she likes to play, she told me peak-a-boo. Kelly put her behind a bench we were at and started to play with her. Ava began to cry but couldn't help the urge to play. Despite the tears she would hunch down behind the bench and pop-up. It was very funny.


Soon after playing peak-a-boo we ran across some dogs playing and Ava was in love instantly. Mom and dad said she just LOVES doggies.

McGrath Family (Albuquerque Family Photographer)

The McGraths are a very silly a fun family. They are such beautiful inside and out! I love photographing all of them and their adorable family! The Lord, as always, blessed our day shooting with beautiful light and scenery. I hope you enjoy the photos!

The Griego Family (Albuquerque Family Photographer)

You just cannot help but absolutely love this family! They are all so much fun, and well Los is a very gifted pastor, Lauren is an amazing woman of God, and the kids, they are just tooo adorable!! :)We had such a fun day playing in the Bosque. Mom had such fun ideas of stuffed animals, bubbles and fun hats! Playing outside is such a fun idea and always more successful with little ones verse in door studio posed pictures! I love this job!! Enjoy! :)



This was the only way we got everyone on the tree trunk...you could only throw leafs if you were sitting with everyone! Thanks Lauren for being a great mom to make up silly rules to get kids to do what you need them to do! haha...and it turned out for a great photo!
